terms and conditions

Santa's Christmas Village 2026 – Ticketing Terms & Conditions

1. About these terms

1.1 These terms apply to every ticket for Santa's Christmas Village 2026, whether bought online through Megatix or at the Box Office. By buying, holding or using a ticket, you agree to them.

1.2 Santa's Christmas Village is presented by Carnival Amusements (ABN 93 409 823 690) ("the Presenter", "we", "us") at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, 21 Mounts Bay Road, Perth WA 6000 ("the Venue").

1.3 Megatix ("the Ticketing Agent") sells tickets on our behalf. Megatix's own terms of purchase also apply to online sales. The Venue's conditions of entry apply while you are on Venue premises.

1.4 Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

1.5 Definitions used in these terms:

•         Event: Santa's Christmas Village, held on selected dates from Friday 4 to Thursday 24 December 2026.

•         Session: the date and time window printed on your ticket.

•         Ticket: any Infant, Tiny Tots, Child or Adult ticket, including its barcode.

•         Ticket Holder or you: the person who buys or uses a ticket, and the parent or guardian of any child using one.

•         Coupon Sheet: the sheet of activity and ride coupons included with a Tiny Tots or Child ticket.

•         Tokens: tokens bought separately for carnival rides and sideshow games.

2. Buying tickets

2.1 Every person entering the Event needs a valid ticket for that Session, including adults and infants. No ticket, no entry.

2.2 Tickets are sold online through Megatix and, if the Session is not sold out, at the Box Office on the day. Tickets bought anywhere else are not authorised and may be refused or cancelled (see clause 11).

2.3 Online tickets are released in price stages: Presale (registered patrons only, via an emailed link), Early Bird, and Final Release. Each stage has a limited allocation and may sell out before its end date. Box Office prices are higher than online prices.

2.4 Night Session (5:30pm) tickets are priced separately from day Session tickets.

2.5 All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. A booking fee ("+BF") is charged by the Ticketing Agent on online orders. The fee varies with the order total and is shown before you pay.

2.6 We may limit the number of tickets per person, per order or per payment card. Orders over the limit may be cancelled without notice.

2.7 Please check your order carefully before paying. You are responsible for choosing the correct date, Session, ticket type and quantity. Refunds will not be issued for purchases made in error, including selecting the wrong date, session, ticket type or quantity, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law.

2.8 Your order is confirmed when the Ticketing Agent issues your tickets. If a pricing or system error occurs, we may cancel the affected order and refund the amount paid.

3. Ticket types and inclusions

3.3 Live shows do not run in Night Sessions.

3.4 We may ask for proof of age. If a child is older than their ticket type allows, you will need to pay the difference at Box Office prices.

3.5 Sideshow games, extra carnival rides, food, showbags and any item not listed as an inclusion are not included in any ticket and must be paid for separately.

3.6 Companion Card holders are admitted free when accompanying a paying patron. Companion tickets are issued at the Box Office only. Concession and pension cards do not attract a discount.

4. Entry and Sessions

4.1 On arrival, every patron must go to the Box Office in the PCEC foyer. Staff will scan your ticket barcode and issue your Coupon Sheet or Adult Entry Pass. You cannot enter with a barcode alone.

4.2 You can collect your Coupon Sheet or Entry Pass up to 30 minutes before your Session starts.

4.3 Your ticket is valid only for the date and Session printed on it. Session times are:

•         Session 1: 8:30am to 11:00am

•         Session 2: 11:15am to 1:45pm

•         Session 3: 2:00pm to 4:30pm

•         Session 4 (Night): 5:30pm to 8:00pm, selected dates only

4.4 You may enter at any time during your Session, but all patrons must leave when it ends. Late arrival does not entitle you to extra time, entry to another Session or a refund.

4.5 The Event is not open on every date between 4 and 24 December. Check the calendar on the website before you buy.

4.6 There are no pass-outs. Once you leave the Event, you cannot re-enter, including within the same Session.

4.7 Each ticket barcode can be scanned once. If more than one copy of a ticket is presented, only the first one scanned will be admitted.

5. Changing your Session

5.1 You can request a change of date or Session through "My Orders" on the Megatix website, subject to availability.

5.2 Changes must be made at least [24 / 48] hours before your original Session starts. Changes cannot be made on the day.

5.3 Presale tickets can only be changed during the Presale period, and Early Bird tickets only during the Early Bird period. Final Release tickets can be changed at any time up to the deadline in clause 5.2.

5.4 If you move to a Session or price stage that costs more, you must pay the difference. Booking fees may apply to the change. No credit is given for moving to a cheaper Session.

5.5 If the ticket category you need is no longer available, contact support@megatix.com.au.

6. Refunds and exchanges

6.1 Tickets are not refundable or exchangeable for change of mind, except where required by the Australian Consumer Law or these terms. This includes buying the wrong date, Session, ticket type or quantity, a change in personal circumstances, illness, travel delays, or arriving late.

6.2 You are entitled to a refund of the ticket price if:

•         your Session is cancelled and we do not offer a reasonable alternative Session; or

•         the Event is changed in a way that makes it significantly different from what was advertised; or

•         you are otherwise entitled to one under the Australian Consumer Law.

6.3 Refunds are paid to the original payment method through the Ticketing Agent. Booking fees are refunded only where the law requires it or the Ticketing Agent's terms allow.

6.4 Unused inclusions, Coupons, Tokens and time remaining in a Session are not refundable, transferable to another day, or exchangeable for cash or other items.

6.5 Refunds are not available where entry is refused or you are removed from the Event because you have breached these terms.

6.6 Lost, stolen or damaged Coupon Sheets will not be replaced.

7. Changes to the Event

7.1 We may need to change the Event program, attractions, performers, rides, layout or Venue spaces. We will try to deliver the Event as advertised, but individual attractions may be unavailable at times, including for maintenance, safety, weather, capacity or performer availability. These changes do not entitle you to a refund unless clause 6.2 applies.

7.2 Live shows, characters and performers named in advertising may be replaced with alternatives of a similar standard.

7.3 If we must cancel or reschedule a Session, we will contact the email address on the order and offer a transfer to another available Session or a refund. If you do not respond by the stated date, we may transfer your booking to the nearest available Session.

7.4 We may close the Event, delay entry, or ask patrons to leave if required for health, safety, security or emergency reasons, or by the Venue or a government authority. In that case, your rights are as set out in clause 6.2.

7.5 We are not liable for any travel, accommodation or other costs you incur in connection with the Event, except where the law requires otherwise.

8. Coupons and Tokens

8.1 Coupon Sheets are valid only for the date and Session on your ticket, and only for the child they were issued to. Each coupon can be used once, for the attraction named on it.

8.2 A full, untorn Coupon Sheet is required for entry.

8.3 Coupons cannot be used for sideshow games, showbags, food or any other purchase.

8.4 Coupon Sheets, coupons and passes must not be sold, given away, shared between children, or accepted from another patron. Anyone doing so may have their tickets, and the other patron's tickets, cancelled and be asked to leave without a refund.

8.5 Tokens can be bought online as a Token Bundle or at the Event. Tokens are valid only on the day of purchase or use stated at sale, have no cash value, and are not refundable once issued.

9. Carnival rides and attractions

9.1 All carnival rides have height, age and health restrictions, which are displayed at each ride and on the Rudolph's FunFair page. Ride operators' decisions on eligibility are final. Please check the restrictions before you buy, as a child who cannot ride is not entitled to a refund.

9.2 Adults may ride with a child only on rides that allow it, and must have an Adult Ride Coupon or Tokens to do so. A Companion Card holder accompanying a patron with disability may ride with that patron free of charge.

9.3 Patrons must follow all instructions from ride operators and staff, and all safety signage. We may refuse or end access to any ride or attraction for safety reasons.

9.4 Some attractions involve movement, loud sound, flashing lights, special effects or artificial snow, which may not suit people with certain medical conditions, sensory sensitivities or allergies. Please take this into account when buying.

9.5 Attractions may close temporarily without notice, and wait times cannot be guaranteed. Not every attraction may be accessible within your Session if queues are long.

9.6 Santa Photos are a separate paid add-on and are not included in any ticket. Photos are taken by our trained event staff, not a professional photography studio, which keeps the price affordable. Each booking includes up to 3 minutes with Santa and one printed photo. We will confirm your photo time by email before your visit, and photos must be taken during your booked time. We cannot guarantee a particular pose, expression or result, especially with young children, and refunds are not given for dissatisfaction with how a photo looks, a child's reaction, or a missed photo time. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including where a photo is not provided or is faulty (for example, a damaged print).

10. Conditions of entry

10.1 Children under 18 must be supervised by a ticketed adult at all times. Parents and guardians are responsible for their children's behaviour and safety.

10.2 We, the Venue and security staff may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who:

•         does not have a valid ticket for that Session;

•         is affected by alcohol or drugs;

•         behaves in a way that is unsafe, offensive, threatening or disruptive;

•         breaches these terms, the Venue's conditions of entry or any law; or

•         refuses a reasonable request from staff.

No refund is given in these cases.

10.3 Bags may be inspected on entry. Prohibited items include alcohol, glass, weapons, illegal substances, fireworks or flares, drones, large eskies and picnic baskets, scooters, skateboards and wheeled toys, and any item staff consider dangerous. Prohibited items may be confiscated or entry refused.

10.4 Small personal snacks are allowed. Large quantities of food, birthday cakes and outside catering are not. Groups planning a celebration should contact us first.

10.5 Pets are not permitted. Assistance animals are welcome, and handlers may be asked for evidence that the animal is an assistance animal.

10.6 Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere in the Venue.

10.7 Seating is limited. Patrons should be able to walk and stand for extended periods, or bring their own mobility aid.

10.8 Prams and strollers are welcome but may need to be parked in a designated area at some attractions.

10.9 Lost children will be taken to the First Aid post. Please agree a meeting point with your family when you arrive.

10.10 Commercial filming, photography, promotion, selling or distributing items at the Event is not permitted without our written consent.

11. Resale and transfer

11.1 Tickets are for personal use only. They must not be resold or offered for resale for more than the original price paid (including booking fees), or used for advertising, promotion, competitions or prizes without our written consent.

11.2 We may cancel any ticket we reasonably believe has been bought or resold in breach of these terms, or bought using automated software, without a refund. The holder of a cancelled ticket will be refused entry.

11.3 You may give a ticket to a family member or friend for their personal use at no profit. They will then be bound by these terms.

12. Accessibility

12.1 The Venue is wheelchair accessible, with accessible toilets and lifts. Details on getting to PCEC, parking and accessibility are on the PCEC website.

12.2 Sensory Sessions with reduced sound and visual effects run on selected dates listed on our website. Some attractions have built-in movement, sound and lighting effects that cannot be switched off.

12.3 If you have accessibility needs, please contact us before you buy so we can help plan your visit.

13. Photography, recording and privacy

13.1 The Event may be photographed, filmed and recorded. By attending, you consent to your image and voice, and those of children in your care, being captured and used by the Presenter in any media to promote the Event, without payment. If you do not want to appear, please tell a staff member on arrival.

13.2 You may take photos and videos for personal, non-commercial use. Please respect other families' privacy and do not photograph other people's children without their parent's permission.

13.3 Personal information collected through ticket sales is handled by us and the Ticketing Agent under our privacy policies and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We may use your email address to send information about your booking, including changes and safety notices.

14. Liability

14.1 You attend the Event and use its attractions at your own risk, subject to clause 1.4 and any rights you have that cannot be excluded.

14.2 To the extent permitted by law, the Presenter, the Venue and the Ticketing Agent are not liable for any loss, damage, injury or expense arising from your attendance, except to the extent it is caused by our negligence or breach of these terms.

14.3 We are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property. Please keep your belongings with you. Found items are handed to the PCEC Information Desk.

14.4 Where our liability for a failure to supply services cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.

14.5 We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, power failure, public health orders, industrial action, or acts of government. Your rights in that case are set out in clause 6.2.

15. General

15.1 We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our website at the time of your purchase applies to your tickets, unless a change is needed for safety or legal reasons.

15.2 If any part of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the rest still applies.

15.3 These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.

15.4 For questions about the Event, use the contact form on the Santa's Christmas Village website. For questions about your order, payment or booking fees, contact Megatix at support@megatix.com.au. Afterpay enquiries must be directed to Afterpay.
